Donation for Moving Out and Making It Kits for Jacksonville Area Youth Only

PROJECT PREPARE, A HOMELESS YOUTH PROGRAM

Daniel’s Project Prepare Program helps approximately 80 homeless youth ages 16-21 years old each year by providing temporary residence in a twelve-unit efficiency apartment complex or helping the youth secure other low-cost housing. Once these critical needs are met, the Daniel team teaches program participants enduring life skills including personal health and hygiene, how to obtain and maintain safe housing, how to comparative shop, how to make transportation arrangements, social skills, basic finance skills, banking and budgeting, job search skills, and employment stabilization. With a mission of ensuring that no child enters adulthood without the tools and knowledge vital to success, Daniel safely transitions homeless youth to a life of independence and self-sufficiency.

How you can help.  Youth transitioning into independence do not have the necessary items to make a good start.  Like many of our own children leaving home for college or independence, these youth need assistance in providing some basic supplies. With a donation of $300, you can ensure each youth has the necessary supplies to get them started.
