Daniel Kids is fortunate to have community support from a variety of businesses and individuals.

These businesses host events for Daniel Kids at no cost to the agency, but in turn allow us to raise money and awareness of our mission. We are so grateful to our community partners.

Black Tie and Blue Jeans Gala

First Coast Rotaract is proud to invite you to our 2017 Black Tie & Blue Jeans Gala benefitting Daniel Kids on April 22nd, 2017. We are really excited about our unique location, Intuition Ale Works, and can’t wait to have fun and see everyone wearing their finest denim.

Our goal is to raise enough money through ticket sales, sponsorships, and raffle tickets for Daniel Kids to renovate the Visitation Center. The Visitation Center serves children who are in the dependency of the court system due to being removed from their biological families because of an unsafe home environment. Daniel case managers work with the courts, guardians, and biological parents to reunify children and parents if possible. Parents are given a case plan to complete in a 6-12 month period and children are placed in relative or foster care during this time. Maintaining safe contact between families while all parties are working to be together is vital in the reunification process. Court ordered supervised visits take place in this center 90-105 times a week for 30-35 families at a time. This is a stressful time in the lives of these families so having a welcoming environment is essential for kids to have a chance to bond and interact in a healthy way with those
they love.

First Coast Rotaract is aiming to make the center more welcoming as it is in dire need of updates and renovations. Tickets to the event are $50, which includes an open limited bar (Beer and Wine) and heavy hors d’oeuvre. We will have raffles of multiple themed baskets and stand-alone items that are sure to be crowd pleasures. $5 per raffle ticket. $20 for 5 raffle tickets. Raffle tickets are sold at the event.
