The team at Daniel, and the kids and families in crisis we serve, are deeply grateful to the community for helping us finish the Furnish Their Future campaign successfully. With your help, not only did we complete the final step of funding furnishings for the Creekside/Cedarwood cottage, but we raised more than $1.4 million overall, which enables us to completely renovate the building. Stay tuned for updates as we enter the construction phase and for news about future campaigns that will allow us to eventually renovate all of the children’s living areas throughout campus.

Our Donors Are the Lifeblood to Daniel Kids Helping the Community
Daniel helps nearly 2,000 local abused, abandoned and neglected children, as well as at-risk families everyday. The critical therapeutic and supportive care we offer is at low or no cost to our clients. Yet, the demand for our services continues to grow despite yearly decreases in government funding.
In 1884 the population of Jacksonville was just 10,000, yet even within that relatively small number; there were still a multitude of children in need of help. To that end, a group of church women launched the Orphanage and Home for the Friendless in a small, rented cottage on the corner of Liberty and Ashley Street with a fund launched to open a permanent home.
No matter what your skill set or how much time you have available, we’ll help you find a volunteer position that will impact a child’s life while enriching your own. Whether you want to lend your talents to a fund-raising event, organize game days with the kids, or work one-on-one with a child as his mentor, Daniel needs and appreciates your support.
Daniel holds multiple events throughout the year to raise funds and awareness for Daniel kids. These events, which include our Hank Haynes Golf Classic, provide sponsorship opportunities that enable your company to enjoy cause-related marketing benefits and media exposure while supporting a great cause.
