Call For Presenters

Daniel Memorial Institute's conference planning committee invites adults and youth to apply to present workshops at our 2010 National Conferences. As youth and family service programs continue to grow, there is a rising need for educational workshops aimed at helping agencies and programs increase effectiveness while minimizing costs. Please share your innovative systems, policies and collaborative techniques to put the needs of children and families first.

We need your perspectives, creativity, experience, and knowledge to offer our conference participants a highly educational and inspiring conference. We are seeking proposals for conference workshop sessions that will meet participants' diverse learning needs.

Workshops can be an hour and a half or three hours in length and may include a broad range of topics. We invite you to submit workshop proposals on the latest research, practice excellence, organizational leadership, legislative initiatives and all other topics that will help to improve outcomes for our children, youth and families.

Workshop proposals will be selected based on their relevance to the field and target audience, ability to address policy/program areas, engaging format, interactive design and originality.

While we encourage presenters to share their new publications, curricula and other tools, we ask that you refrain from using workshops to "sell" products. Exhibit space is available for those who would like to promote their goods and services.

Presenters at Daniel Memorial conferences are expected to register for the conference and are responsible for their own expenses (travel and hotel expenses are not included in registration fees). A maximum of four (4) representatives per workshop may attend the conference at the discounted presenter rate. Please note that presenters are expected to produce and provide handouts to attendees.

In cases where there is more than one presenter, a "primary presenter" should be designated. The primary presenter is responsible for disseminating conference/presentation information to the co-presenter(s). Presenters will receive a $50.00 discount off of their conference registration fee, including up to three co-presenters.

Please note: DMI is not able to provide LCDs for Power Point presentations. You may bring your own projector or make arrangements with the hotel for these services at your expense.
