The Residential Treatment Center (RTC)
targets boys and girls ages 5 to 17 who have the need for an increased level of
care due to emotional and/or behavioral functioning difficulties. The RTC
program is designed to assist identified clients in stabilizing their behavior
in a therapeutic and nurturing environment while receiving psychotherapeutic
interventions.
The Statewide Inpatient Psychiatric Program
(SIPP) is a short-term (180 days or less) intensive residential treatment
program at a sub-acute level. The purpose of this program is to reduce
over-utilization of acute care hospitalization within the state of Florida. The SIPP program
addresses the psychiatric needs of youth and families by placing a strong
emphasis on family therapy as well as a 60-day follow up upon
discharge.
