Launched in 1987, Daniel Memorial Institute brings the proven ideas and techniques that daniel uses to other child service agencies across the country. The organization has successfully developed and marketed training materials for independent living, foster care and social service programs. In fact, the Independent Living Skills (ILS)™ System, developed at daniel, is used widely throughout the United States and Canada.

The Institute also produces several local, state and national youth care training programs, including “Growing Pains,” the premiere national independent living conference, which some 700 child service professionals attend annually. All proceeds from training materials and conferences support daniel youth programs.
