The Adoption Information Center serves as Floridas adoption hotline and clearinghouse
for every area of adoption. Created by the Florida Legislature, the center
operates a statewide toll-free adoption hotline
(1-800-96-ADOPT) that provides information and local referrals
to callers. The center promotes adoption as an option through public awareness
and also provides training programs to adoption professionals and others
interested in adoption issues.

Highlights: The Adoption Information Center had another record year in 2009,
receiving more than 18,000 calls.
